Sales, sales, sales - with a new face
Assignment
Invento AG is a wholesale company based in the Basel region and specialises in product lines in the areas of cleaning, primers, sealants, lubricants and preservatives. The products are exported and sold in Switzerland and through franchisees to Germany, Austria, France, Italy and the Balkan states.
The assignment is comprehensive and begins with the review and revision of the corporate strategy, including the marketing and franchise strategy. The brand, the almost 200 packaging items and the entire appearance are to be revised. The distribution channels are to be modernised and provided with comprehensive product and application information. An improved customer journey is to be introduced across all measures.
Challenge
The Invento brand has been on the market for a long time and the brand image has not been adapted to new trends and marketing standards for too long. The company enjoys an excellent reputation among existing customers, but needs to be able to attract new customers and demonstrate its advantages over the competition. These challenges must be overcome without deterring existing customers.
Implementation
In a comprehensive workshop, the various issues were critically analysed, an as-is and to-be analysis was drawn up and clear measures for action were developed.
Following this workshop, the rebranding process began immediately. The new brand identity incorporates many existing elements, such as the well-known brand ambassador ‘Max’, but at the same time the new design gives it a much fresher and more eye-catching appearance. The brand now also has its own iconography to communicate product benefits and application information more clearly. The product categories will be enhanced with individual design elements so that customers are guided more effectively in future, for example in a retail space. These are just a few examples from the brand manual. At the same time, around 200 product and outer packaging items are being redesigned.
In the area of franchising and distribution channels, Invento is getting a completely new e-commerce system with improved shopping worlds. Improved product-related content can be communicated in these product-orientated areas. In addition, the entire customer journey is better captured and opportunities for upselling and cross-selling are improved.
